Originally Gloria Gaynor released the single “I Will Survive” in 1978. It became a #1 hit on the US, Canadian, UK & Irish pop charts and Top 10 in 10 other countries, with Studio 54 DJ Richie Kaczor being the first to really champion the song ,which went on to win a Grammy Award in 1980. You can still find this disco hit in the Rolling Stones magazine among the top 500 best songs.
